The Lagos Urban Research Group – LURG.org – is an open international scientific network collaboration with the task to create a proposal for the future urban development and for the improvement of the humanitarian situation in the Megacity Region of Lagos, Nigeria.
The fundamental part, ensuring a sustainable development of the project, is the boundless exchange of knowledge and experience and the integration of aspects and interests of different parties.
Being a collaboration of distinct organizations, institutions and individuals LURG.org facilitates communication and pushes the flow of information. Emerging of a open network of international project participants, the group aims for a multidisciplinary approach of the theme.
LURG.org acts as the interactive communication and discussion platform of the network analyzing, identifying and visualizing complex urban phenomena and patterns of a dynamic urbanism.
The LURG.org seeks to initiate a collective design process, generating an urban development concept, which is operating far within its field and which has the ability to refine itself through the dynamic processes of its surrounding.
